My husband and I are working hard with the world's most perfect teenager to keep him from becoming a classic Gen Z. As he neglected school in grade 10, the consequence is that he has to do a math paper and read a chapter from the book he chose 6 days a week for the entire summer break. In addition to this, he also works on an online education platform that provides course-specific revision resources for IB students. Completing these 3 tasks takes him about 1 hour each time.
For us, it is important to try to get him to understand as opposed to knowing that you have to work to achieve your goals. Either he will rule the world or he will go to therapy…
