It's his life, not ours

The world's most perfect teenager, who is in the first year of his 2-year Diploma Programme, has changed the direction of his education. Instead of studying economics at high level (HL), he has leveled down economics to standard level (SL) and leveled up chemistry from SL to HL, which means he studies science with mathematics HL. The reason for this is that Junior wants to become an engineer instead of an economist.

Actually, this change is logical, even as a toddler he was interested in how things work. I'm glad he stood up for himself and talked to us about this, it became clear that it was me and the world's most perfect husband who wanted Junior to study economics and influenced him in his original choice.

Whether this is the right decision remains to be seen, but it is his life and not mine. We support him in the decisions he chooses to make, as long as they aren't completely mad.
