It's a 50-50 chance for either one

At times yesterday we had disturbances in our connection with our card readers at work. Our customers could not pay by card or even Venmo. We lost sales all morning.

We later learned that there were many stores that had had the exact same problem as us. The reason for this is that yesterday was leap day, that is, yesterday "did not really exist".

Personally, I don't think that's the whole truth because we didn't have these problems during the last leap day, Sweden is most likely subject to numerous overload attacks all the time at the moment. Although it may have been due to the fact that the pandemic had already attracted attention.
