Future stalkers

Since we have worked fifteen days in a row between eleven and twelve hours a day, it was only on Friday evening that we had time to make two investments. The choice fell on Golub Capital BDC, Inc. Common Stock (GBDC) and Hercules Capital, Inc. Common Stock (HTGC).

Starting tomorrow, we plan to start investing the money we received from the sale of our condominium premises. We will minimize the risk with this money to begin with. Our plan is to start taking bigger risks in a year or so withwith the money we will receive from future dividends. The initial investment itself should be hedged as much as you can hedge money in the stock market.

In the best of worlds, I get a job within a couple of months and my husband does well with our investments so we can be financially independent in good time before the world's most perfect teenager finishes his future university education and heads out into the world to work.

The goal of everything is that in the future we will be able to follow him out into the world and live in the same city as him.
