It's done

I'm more than pleased to inform that we have finally bought out our partner.

Despite I'm unspeakable afraid of conflicts I'm glad this is done. To step out of your comfort zone is NOT evolving and good for you, regardless what people say.

We have 4 different companies and we are in total control of all of them. I'm extremely happy to have my husband. We have worked together for more than 23 years. We have the same goals and values.

I can't be enough grateful for my money factory. Tomorrow I will get the final payments. After that I will know how much that is left for external acquisition.

He who waits for something, ALWAYS waits too long.

I'm the reason The Amazon is disappearing

Our latest bank is kind of old fashion. I've never gotten so many different paper documents. My mailbox is almost full every day.

I might have to compensate the environment due to all the trees and greenhouse gases.

On top of this their website is unbelievable crazy. The user interface is so bad I will not even try to explain it.

I haven't yet found were I can see executed transactions.

But in the long run it will be worth it when I get the first tax refund. I have lots of papers do start fires in my tiled fireplace.

I might have to buy another type of stock this month

October was supposed to be one out of four top months this year for buying shares. Stock quotes decrease gives me an yield increase. That with extremly high payments in dividends was expected to be a golden egg.

However, life came in between. In one of our companies my husband and I have a partner. Now it looks like we are going to buy him out. This is a very good investment for us in the long-term but I hate so see my plans go down the drain.

As I written before I am not a big fan of changes. My dear old spouse on the other hand loves changes. So being married to him is a bit of a challenge in itself and vice versa.

I have to wait and see how, if any, much cash is left for external acquisition.

More than one reason to enjoy weekends this October

These beautiful weekends during fall is extra good this October.

Beside enjoying wonderful walks, being able to sleep in with the darkness, lighting magical fires in the fireplaces etcetera there is one even more joyful thing.

We get to relax and refrain from the daily stock market crash. It is very calm for the soul.

All in

For a little more than 6 months ago we decided to redirect young master Dewlar's portfolio.

When we opened his account we wanted his savings to be secure. As time went by we found out that he lost money instead of gaining.

So for 6 months ago, give or take, we altered the entire holding. We figured that since he isn't supposed to use them for at least 10 years we would take the same risks with his money as we take with ours.

As a resultat from our actions young master Dewlar will either be filthy rich or broke. If he ends up well-off, good for him and we have given him an excellent start. If he on the other hand winds up broke, he have to stay at home with us forever.

WIN-WIN according to me, his father has a different opinion...

I couldn't help myself

Despite I need to have cash until the current situation is solved I couldn't stop myself from making a minor investment.

I bought a tiny number of SCM. I love the feeling of putting the money at work. I prefer that the silver works instead of me. I'm kind of lazy that way.

I'm trying to teach young master Dewlar about compounding. Since he takes after me it shouldn't be a tough nut to crack...

10.25.2018

Money, money, money

As I anticipated I got my payments yesterday.

However I might have to use the cash for something else. I'll write about it as soon I can.

Situations like this is why I love my money factory. Instead of being forced to sell off some holdings I just take the share-out instead.

The emerged situation is a double-edged sword. On one hand it benefits us in our own business, on the other I really want to hit this window of opportunity of catching these stocks with raising yields.

10.24.2018

Today is the day

I'm expecting a lot of payouts.

Payment date for the shares in question was a couple of days ago but since I'm located in Europe I have to wait a few more days.

Because of previous experience I know that the payment often are credited to my account late afternoon.

It's almost the same kind of waiting as the day before Christmas.

10.23.2018

It's all part of the game

These days I really cling to my 3rd commandment.

Although I been on the stock market for more than 10 years with a break for a couple of years when we bought our first apartment it is still tough to see the 16% decrease of my portfolio.

Instead of focus on the negative (falling stock market), I see stock quotes decrease as an opportunity
for yield increase.

I can't reinvest my dividend soon enough.

10.22.2018

I'm fastinated

Over how people don't want to take control over their own economy. According to a survey made in this country shows that almost 40% of the employees are willing to refrain from future salary increases in favor of better pension.

It surpasses my understanding how you don't want to be responsible of your own money. Have socialism gone so far?

No one cares about my interest more than myself. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just kidding themselves.

10.21.2018

Bird in the hand is worth two in the bush

Obviously I am the last person to notice this. In the country I live in there is a dialogue about FIRE (financial independent retirement early).

It seems like, according to several posts that this is something bad for the society. If the exit position is that all the people doing this is staring at the age of 20 and retiring at 30 then I agree that this is hurting the society thru income tax decrease.

However in this particular country I live in we have very high taxes on almost everything. We have quit a high VAT and additional high taxes on gasoline, alcohol, tobacco etcetera.

Another variable to consider is that not all people doing this is in their twenties. Take myself for an example. We are a lot of people that started this at the age of 40. I don't expect to get a high pension from the government despite having paid one of the highest income tax world wide. I have to take care of myself. If the outcome is that I can retire at the age of 55-57 and have a great old age that is just a very good aftermath. Especially when they're talking about increasing the age of retirement in this country to 67 instead of 65.

Please don't assume that everything is done out of bad intentions.

Being a child to entrepreneurs...

This morning I had a number of meetings (parent/teacher conferences) with young master Dewlar's teachers. Nothing unusual just to get an update on his progress etcetera.

However, yesterday at the drop off at school we met a girl in his class. The girl asked my son if he had practiced his words for the quiz.

My son answered politely that he had and I left them. I was a bit surprised to learn that he had done this homework since I haven't seen this particular one. Not a single one in this subject since the school start.

I confronted him last night and he acknowledged that he had skipped that subject since it was so EASY...

I replied that I assumed that he had a straight record at the quizzes because it was so easy. That was NOT the case.

Apparently he had done a RISK ASSESSMENT of being caught versus the work of doing the actual work.

Let me inform you all that he needs to work on his risk assessments...

All good things come to he who waits

October is one of the 4 best month of the year when is comes to dividend.

Sad to say that most of my stocks have their payment days at the end of the month.

This puts my patience to the test. I'm restless sometimes. I want to be ready if an opportunity occurs.

It sucks when you discover a possibility and you miss it by a day or two just because you didn't have cash. It has happended a few times.

Although I KNOW when the cash comes I can't help myself to logon just to make sure.

I haven't decided yet if I will keep leveling out the remaining stocks at the old bank or transfer the money to the new bank and start making new purchases.

10.15.2018

In debt

People often ask why I don't pay off my mortgage instead of gambling with my future. I don't see it as gambling. I am very aware that I can loose a lot of money on the stock exchange.

Therefore I keep an eye on it every day. I also follow my commandments. On top of this I always make sure that my dividends are at least 2-3 times larger than the loan interest.

If anything alther I am more than willing to sell of everything and pay off my debt. But for the moment I make a lot of money by reinvest my dividends.

10.14.2018

My commandments

To prevent myself from doing any impulsive or/and unconsidered decisions I try to follow my commandments. Sometimes it can be a hard task to do.

#1 DO NOT invest money you can't afford to loose
#2 Never fall in love with your stocks
#3 You haven't lost money until you sell

Please note that this is something that works for me. I don't advise anyone to do like I do.

10.13.2018

A strong mind

You really need a strong mind to logon to your account these last days. My investments has gone down with more than 17%.

I could look at this with huge concern and anxiety but I choose to regard at it as an opportunity. I can if I pick out the right stocks and step-up my return.

To be able to do this I live by my commandments. I will list them in a future post.

10.12.2018

2 more down

With a slightly favorable US dollar and a "falling" Nasdaq I found an opportunity to level out some more stocks. Two more down and several to go.

When the stock exchanges fall the gold increases. So my jewelry is worth more today than last month. My two best hobbies works as a team.

Today I even outed AGNC and TWO at one of my accounts. I really wish I had all my holdings at Nordea. This generous bank with its base in Finland, northern Europe.

10.11.2018

The bank who will change banking!

It's the Finnish bank Nordea.

Despite that not even themselves really knows that they offer this it is still worth all the trouble. Their website will not win #1 prize but that don't matters. All I want is my money.

A thought that has gotten stuck in my mind is that if they can offer this why can't the others? Or are they lending my money for free for almost 24 months? I hope I am wrong.

It seems like I am not the only one changing to Nordea.

10.10.2018

For the first time ever!

I look forward to paying taxes. I'm SO curious to see if it really works.

The 26th of October is payment date for NRZ. Since I am located in Europe I have to wait some extra days.

According to my new bank I should have the tax approximately 6 weeks later. Somewhere around the middle of December.

So I might have an early Christmas gift for myself.

10.09.2018

I bougth PFLT

I capped PFLT last night. I only needed 60 shares to level out the stock at one of the accounts.

When I have even hundreds I will buy the remaining stocks, according to my plan, at the new bank that gives me back the tax return FAST!

At the moment I have 32 stocks that needs to be leveled out. I will not be able to even them all due to ETFs rules but I haven't given up yet.

10.08.2018

Spoiled

It's funny how things changes. When I got my first dividends I couldn't invest the capital soon enough. Even if it only was 200 bucks. I'm a bit spoiled today. It has to be more than 1000 dollars, otherwise I will wait.

Because I compiles my investments in the Google sheet it's more fun to make larger purchases. The increase is satisfactory.

For the moment I am forced to make smaller buys in the previous banks to round off the numbers in the different stocks.

10.07.2018

Mr. Dewlar's shoe

In the beginning of this journey I told my husband that one goal was that the dividend correlatives a pair of Louboutin every month.

We now have one pair every 4h month. Unfortunately one shoe belongs to mr Dewlar. Therefore I am sort of a modern Cinderella. My dear husband doesn't agree with me.

10.04.2018

Maybe not #1 on my husbands list for the moment

I have for the last 24 years done our income tax returns without any problem. Mine got cleared months ago but Mr Dewlar's a completely different story.

Unfortunately I made a small error with his and the IRS penalized him with fees and residue tax of almost $1,600.

Mr Dewlar always without exception has a buffer for unforeseen expenditure. Thank God! In that we are each others opposites... I shop or invest my money faster than lightning.

Even though I unfailinly make large additional cover, just to be safe, it wasn't large enough.

I might not win the prize for the world's best wife for the moment - Just saying

10.03.2018

I have read about people that...

saves up till 40% or more of their net salary every month.

I have no intension of living of bread crumbs. Our family enjoy a nice dinner at a restaurant, vacations, new clothes and so on.

Life without a silver lining is not worth the struggle according to us. If you can afford it from the beginning I mean. I am well aware of how privileged we are. But both me and my husband work hard.

I save 10% of my net salary every month. That's set in stone. My ambition is higher but I always end up buying something nice.

I have admit that my husband does it better. He saves more since he doesn't have the need for shopping.

That need for shopping is hard for us women...

10.02.2018

I might have overestimated myself

Having multiple banks seems to be a bite more problematic than I predicted.

It's harder to keep track of the assets than I anticipated. To know "in the moment" the exact number of a stock to make a decision on what and how much to buy.

Before any purchase I have to review my Google sheet. That sheet HAVE TO be 100% accurate!

If it actually works with this tax refund I will stop my investments in all the other banks and only have this bank for future investments. I will not touch my previous funds. They will stay were they are.

As soon as I get my first tax refund I will tell You the name of the bank. I want to make sure that it really works first.

The sum of all vices is constant

After my visit  to the dermatologist which ended with me having to contact another doctor to get a referral for blood lipid testing, I have ...
