Why don't you want to prepare your child?

I almost get a little pissed off at parents who haven't taught their children the slightest about finances. We have a newly hired in his twenties.

In the country I live in, 95% of all employees receive their salary on the 25th of each month. Today he came to me and sincerely asked if the salary really comes first on Monday. He thought that since the 25th of this month is on a Monday, the companies are "kind" and pays out the salary on the Friday before.
