5G vs fiber

Earlier generations of mobile networks we have received early compared to the outside world. However, we seem to have to wait for 5G.

I am not well versed but at first glance it feels like 5G's performance is equal to fiber, especially in private homes. We have several acquaintances who paid between 2,000-3,000$ for an installation that now seems redundant. For their sake, I hope that they will maintain the performance of 4G.
