A Catch-22 situation

The world's most perfect teenager hopefully wrote his final exam for grade 10 yesterday. The first thing he did when he got home from school yesterday was log on to his computer and join his friends in a computer game. I have severely limited his gaming for the past weeks in favor of studying for his end-of-year-exams. As a reward for his good work these past weeks, he got to stay up and play as long as his friends played. Hearing his laughter through his door is like music to my ears.

Junior has exactly 7 school days left, school graduation day included. As the teachers have to mark all the end-of-year-exams for grades 10, 11 and 12, I am fully aware that these last 6 days of school will be completely educationally useless. However, they will be significant for the students as they can socialize without the recent pressure that all these exams entail.

I also understand that the school cannot end with the last end-of-year exam since the grades are handed out in connection with the school graduation ceremony.
