Group 1 is still struggling

In the chart where I compare month by month with the previous year's months, Group 1 continues to underperform. Group 1 consisting of January, April, July and October will continue to underperform against 2023 even in 2025, assuming nothing unforeseen happens.

This is because at the end of 2023 we sold holdings that have the months in Group 1 as payout dates, including a large holding in NewtekOne, Inc. Common Stock (NEWT). On the annual total, 2024 will be better than 2023.

The only time we will choose one company over another because of what month they pay out is when they, in our opinion, have exactly the same conditions. On these occasions we will select companies with payment in the period for Group 1.
