Tax money NOT at work - once again

For transparency and my own agenda, I strongly dislike our previous government, the Social Democrats with the support of the Green Party and the tacit acceptance of the Left Party, who ruled Sweden for 8 years. At the last election, I voted for the current government.

As early as January 2024, UNRWA personnel were rumored to have participated in the attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. That both UN Secretary-General António Guterres and UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini continued to ask for continued assistance instead of doing the only right thing, i.e. not accepting more help in favor of first conducting a thorough investigation is, in my eyes, shameful and rude to all donors around the world.

Sweden, which is UNRWA's largest aid donor, paused its aid to UNRWA in connection with these rumors only to resume it in early March.

Now the UN has fired 9 UNRWA employees after it emerged that they may have participated in the attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. The measure comes after the UN's internal auditor Oios conducted an audit after Israel claimed 19 UNRWA staff were involved in the attack. If UNRWA fires 9 employees, you know for sure that more were involved.

Knowing that my hard earned tax money was used in an attack sucks and makes me despise politicians.
