Our son is bilingual, but sometimes he comes into contact with words he has never heard before

English is his first language and Swedish his second language. We know this because he dreams in English and switches to English as soon as he gets stressed. The first time this happened we understood nothing, literally. It took us a sentence or two before we realized he was speaking English.

Yesterday my husband and son played golf. They got a tee time together with 2 strangers they have never met before. A London resident and a Brussels resident who doesn't speak a word of Swedish.

The offspring behaved correctly and politely throughout the entire round. Afterwards they asked my husband if our son is half-American considering his perfect English. Plus they praised his behavior. My husband was very proud.

When they became alone, the offspring whispered to the husband quote "How cool dad, he (one of them) is like James Bond!" unquote. My husband wondered how he came to that conclusion.

Quote "But dad, he's a headhunter!!!!" unquote.
