Tax money at work...

In Sweden, there is something called municipal economic equalization or the municipal equalization system.

This means that money is transferred from prosperous municipalities and regions to poor areas. The aim is that the affected municipalities and regions should be able to provide equivalent service for their municipal citizens regardless of conditions that are difficult for the municipality to influence.

Unfortunately, it happens as always when it's "nobody's money". It is wasted.

The City of Malmo, also Sweden's third largest city, makes up 25% of its total revenue with contributions from the municipal economic equalization system. Despite this, in 2020, the city of Malmo hired a communications agency whose sound engineer recorded sounds from different parts of the city and created Malmo's own sound identity. The cost of this at the time was $42,000.

During 2021 the city chose to buy a pink plastic unicorn to place in one of the city's squares. Which at the time of purchase cost almost $73,000.

This year, Malmo has chosen to organize a festival that will be free of charge for visitors. During this festival, the city has hired Swedish House Mafia to broadcast a live concert. The cost of this concert is $26,000. The Social Democrats have governed in Malmo since 1994.

Malmo should be subject to a PURCHASE BAN or not be approved for further contributions.
