You can't make this up

For transparency and my own agenda, I strongly dislike our previous government, the Social Democrats with the support of the Green Party and the tacit acceptance of the Left Party, who ruled Sweden for 8 years. At the last election, I voted for the current government.

On Monday, the former Iraqi defense minister, Najah af-Shammari, was arrested at Arlanda airport outside Stockholm. Najah af-Shammari, who was Iraq's defense minister between 2019-2020, has been wanted for welfare crimes in Sweden since 2019.

Najah af-Shammari who lived in Iraq and received a salary from the Iraqi state for his role as Minister of Defense while receiving benefits in Sweden where he had registered as sick and unable to work due to an illness. When Najah af-Shammari became aware of the suspicions of contribution violations, he chose to register as an emigrant to Sweden.

The prosecutor confirms that Najah af-Shammari was served with criminal charges on Monday but was released after he promised to appear voluntarily before the prosecutor yesterday for questioning.

The fact that the Swedish system is so inefficient that another country's active defense minister who does not even live in Sweden can swindle tax money does not contribute to increasing my willingness to pay taxes. Tax money NOT at work.
